This blog will provide news arround GaelO and imaging of clinical trials. The content will include scientifics news, quality tips for clinical trials or informations about innovative technologies.
At the origin of the project, GealO was conceived to be hosted on the servers of the research structures themselves for their own needs. It quickly became apparent that this mode of operation did not correspond to the expectations of the institutions, which preferred a fully managed service.
The first version of GaelO was a success; we have developed a functional platform to facilitate the work of the different actors: sending of images, study supervision or centralized review of images.
An imaging platform like GaelO is an end-to-end solution to ensure the collection and analysis of imaging data while meeting the quality standards of clinical trials.
CROs (Contract Research Organizations) are service companies providing services in the field of clinical trials. Some of them are specialized in specific disciplines such as medical imaging and are therefore called imaging CROs.
At the end of 2022, Pixilib celebrates its first anniversary, an opportunity for a quick retrospective on our operations. A busy year, but one with plenty of momentum.
Orthanc is an open-source PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) developed by Sébastien Jodogne at the University of Liège, which received the Free Software Foundation's Open-Source Award.
Open Health Imaging Fondation (OHIF) is an open-source software project to create a framework for medical image viewers. GaelO uses OHIF to develop its imaging viewers. Pixilib wants to become an active contributor to OHIF.
Dr. Amira Marouf has just published the results of the AMARHELIS study (Adcetris Maintenance after Autologous stem cell transplantation in Hodgkin lymphoma: a Real-Life Study) in Hematologica. This is our first study carried out with GaelO.
